Robert (Bob) Gurney has been on the Board of Directors since first being elected in 1991 and was elected to the position of Company President following the 2008 annual meeting. Living just outside of Princeton, Ontario, Bob is a partner in the family’s cash crop farming operation that farm over 3,000 acres annually.  Bob also has a passion for raising domestic birds and Black Angus.

Mike proudly joined our Board of Directors at the Annual Meeting held in February of 2005.  While Mike is a more recent resident to the village of Ayr, he acquired one of the oldest homes in the village.  Mike’s family is the sixth generation to reside in this heritage property.  Mike is a practicing lawyer and was called to the bar in 1986.

Brian was elected to the Board of Directors at the annual meeting on Friday, February 20, 2004.  Along with his sons, Brian owns and operates Bridon Farms, a premier Jersey operation in the northwest corner of Brant County.

Gord, our newest director, joined the AFM board in August 2006.  Gord has a clear sense of business, running his 300 acre broccoli farm.  You can also say that he likes the sport of golf so much that he built his own golf course.  Copetown Woods Golf Club is just west of the Dundas area.

Les is well connected with his community of Paris.  He and his family are active members of the Paris Agricultural Society.  Les owns and operates the trucking firm Delles Carriers, a long-haul trucking operation covering the U.S. market.  Les has served as a director continuously since his election in February 2002.

Gerry served the Company as a director from 1987 to 1989 and then was once again elected to the Board of Directors in 1998.  Gerry, a former dairy farmer, now owns and operates a rural feed dealership known as “Settlers Supplies” in Sheffield, a small hamlet south of Cambridge.  Like most “mutual” people, Gerry is well connected to his community.
