Our Community
Our community is our lifeblood. When the locals of Ayr created our small insurance company well over 100 years ago, they had one thought in mind: help others.
This sentiment has created a ripple effect to this day.
With a focus on supporting agricultural societies, local fairs & plowing matches, and 4-H programs to help build our next generation of farmers, we also give to minor sports associations, major community projects, hospitals, and many other initiatives.

Ayr Farmers Mutual Insurance Company Donates $10,000 to Ayr Pump Track
Ayr Farmers Mutual is a proud sponsor of the Ayr Pump Track. In January 2024, we were happy to donate $10,000 towards the construction of a resting area with a bench for the public, anticipated to be installed in 2025.

Ayr Farmers Mutual hosted a Free Pumpkin Giveaway on Friday, October 6. We invited the community to enjoy warm apple cider, local apples, and yummy treats on us!

AFM Staff Volunteer at the Ontario Christian Gleaners
The Christian Gleaners and its many volunteers produce millions of servings of dried vegetable mix and other nutritious dried products each year using donated surplus produce to help feed those in need in developing countries around the world.
Roadside Clean Up
AFM is a part of the Adopt-A-Road program, where volunteers clean up regional roads by picking up garbage along the roadside. With this program, groups or individuals adopt a section of the roadway and help keep it clean. On October 5th, we rolled our sleeves up, put on high visibility vests, and spread out along Northumberland Street in Ayr to pick up trash.
BBQ Lunch for Learning - Community BBQ and Silent Auction
We would like to invite you to join us on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Ayr Farmers Mutual Insurance Company, 1400 Northumberland Street, Ayr, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for BBQ Lunch for Learning, a free charity BBQ and silent auction in support of Nutrition for Learning. All donation proceeds raised will be provided to Nutrition for Learning.
Volunteer Appreciation & Donation Night 2022
Ayr Farmers Mutual Insurance Company’s Board of Directors hosted their annual Volunteer Appreciation and Donation Night on Wednesday, May 18, to donate over $18,000 in funds to 21 local organizations.
