Ayr Farmers Mutual is a proud sponsor of the Ayr Pump Track. In January 2024, we were happy to donate $10,000 towards the construction of a resting area with a bench for the public, anticipated to be installed in 2025. The goal of the Ayr Pump Track Committee is to construct a permanent, free to use, multi-use, asphalt pump track located centrally in the town of Ayr (location to be determined). The committee has a fundraising goal of $500,000 and have already raised nearly $100,000. Ayr Farmers Mutual has a commitment to being a community partner, providing financial contributions or sponsorships within our business and professional community and has a devotion to strong stewardship and community awareness that supports community improvements such as this.
A pump track is a playground for all-things with (non-motorized) wheels! From mountain bikes to BMX’s, skateboards and wheelchairs, the rolling jumps and turns are accessible for all. The track will help participants hone the skills of carrying momentum, balance and speed by using their arms or legs to pump their choice of wheels around the track. As one’s skills improve, the tracks are designed to allow for more creative usage to provide a more challenging experience, with no changes to the construction.
