This year the Ayr Farmers Mutual Insurance Company Scholarship Committee encouraged our Scholarship Applicants to make a difference in their community. We were genuinely amazed by what each of them accomplished.
Meet scholarship recipient Sophia:
Sophia is a third-year student at the University of Waterloo. For Sophia's application, she told us about her pen pal program to help improve seniors' mental health in her community. Sending letters back and forth has helped make seniors feel less isolated during the pandemic. We are so grateful to have you as part of our community, Sophia!
