Realty Insurance Policy Coverage

The type of coverage you'll need depends on your business operations and circumstances.  Our Realty Insurance program offers property, rental income, crime and liability coverage to owners of:

  • Apartment buildings (up to 12 units)
  • Rental properties (single, duplex, triplex and townhouse)
  • Commercial occupancy buildings where main tenant is either an office or a retail establishment
  • Retail plazas
  • Rented condo units

Did You Know We Provide Certificates of Insurance?

You may be asked to provide proof of coverage from a customer, or for a specific job. Contact your Agent or Broker, and they will help you obtain the proper information required and provide you with an official Certificate of Insurance in a timely manner.

  • Rental Income Coverage

    If an insured loss causes your tenants to relocate, we provide coverage (up to a certain limit) for lost rental income until repairs are complete.

  • Crime Coverage

    What if you have a rent deposit stolen while en-route to the bank? Our policies can provide some coverage for these types of unfortunate events.

  • Commercial General Liability Coverages
    Bodily Injury & Property Damage

    Coverage for injury or damages caused to others property caused by your rental operations and injuries that occur on your rental property’s premises.

    Personal Injury and Advertising Liability

    The financial damages owed and cost to defend you in court when the advertisements produced cause others a loss or injury (e.g., libel or slander).

    Medical Payments

    The medical-related expenses related to an injury caused to another on your office’s premises (rehabilitation costs, for example).

    Tenants Legal Liability

    Damages caused to the property of others if you are renting your office location.

    Non-Owned Automobile

    Can provide coverage for accidents involving the personal vehicles of your employees while using their vehicle for business purposes such as driving to the post office or picking up supplies.

    Sewer Backup

    Covers loss or damage to the office building and/or contents caused by the sudden and accidental leakage or escape of water from a sewer, septic tank, septic system, floor drain or sump pit.

    Earthquake

    Covers damages caused by an earthquake to the office building and/or contents (including snow slide, ice slide, and landslide as a result of an earthquake).

    Commercial Auto

    If you own a vehicle that is primarily used in the operation of your office, you will need to insure that vehicle on a Commercial Auto Policy. A personal automobile policy does not include coverage for business operations.
