Our Insurance Agents play an important role in serving our Policyholders and strengthening the communities we call home. Working as a trusted advisor, this position offers the opportunity to build on an existing book of business while enjoying the security and support of an established mutual insurer. You’ll focus on building strong relationships, understanding individual needs, and providing personalized insurance solutions that protect what matters most, whether that's vehicles, homes, businesses, or farms.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to combine entrepreneurial independence with community connection. You’ll manage your own schedule, grow the portfolio through relationship-based selling, and become a recognized, trusted face in Southwestern Ontario. The variety keeps every day interesting – from helping a young family protect their first home to advising a multi-generational farm operation. This position could primarily service either the Waterloo Region or Brant County.
The successful candidate will combine strong communication skills with product expertise to guide Policyholders through their insurance needs, while thinking strategically about how our values and purpose deepen our connections with those we serve and support our communities to thrive.

First-year guaranteed hiring annual salary range: $65,000 - $90,000 with transition to commission-based compensation offering uncapped earning potential as you build on the book of business provided.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide an exceptional and customized Policyholder experience through strong relationship building and genuine care for others.
- Gather information to understand and assess exposures, guiding Policyholders in selecting appropriate coverage limits that protect what matters most to them
- Support Policyholders through the claims process with responsiveness and care.
- Actively manage and process the collection of premiums to ensure policies remain in good standing.
- Engage with and give back to our community by attending networking and community events such as county fairs, company events, and trade shows.
- Live our Company Values as an extension of the service you provide.
- Grow the portfolio through a strong commitment to service, leveraging referrals, networking, and proactive outreach.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.
- CIP Designation or working towards is an asset.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport and explain complex insurance concepts clearly.
- Minimum 3 years insurance, sales, or customer service experience.
- Agent License must be obtained and maintained.
- Knowledge and application of intermediate underwriting concepts required, but can be acquired on the job.
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Insurance, agricultural, business, and/or sales experience would be an asset.
