2022 Scholarship Recipients

Ayr Farmers Mutual Insurance Company is proud to provide scholarships to students whose parents or guardians are our Policyholders. Roadside Clean Up

AFM is a part of the Adopt-A-Road program, where volunteers clean up regional roads by picking up garbage along the roadside. With this program, groups or individuals adopt a section of the roadway and help keep it clean. On October 5th, we rolled our sleeves up, put on high visibility vests, and spread out along Northumberland Street in Ayr to pick up trash.

BBQ Lunch for Learning - Community BBQ and Silent Auction

We would like to invite you to join us on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Ayr Farmers Mutual Insurance Company, 1400 Northumberland Street, Ayr, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for BBQ Lunch for Learning, a free charity BBQ and silent auction in support of Nutrition for Learning. All donation proceeds raised will be provided to Nutrition for Learning.

Windstorm Claims Update

Update on the claims process after the major Ontario storm that took place on May 21, 2022. With the strong commitment of our claims team, all Policyholders were contacted, and contractors assigned within 24 hours of receiving notification of their claim. We appreciate everyone’s support and patience as we continue to work closely with our partners to service our Policyholders’ claims and needs.

Volunteer Appreciation & Donation Night 2022

Ayr Farmers Mutual Insurance Company’s Board of Directors hosted their annual Volunteer Appreciation and Donation Night on Wednesday, May 18, to donate over $18,000 in funds to 21 local organizations.

Keep the Giving Going with Sophia Diebold

Our 2021 scholarship recipients went above and beyond for their communities during a challenging year. We were so impressed by their initiatives that we surprised each recipient with the opportunity to select a community charity of their choice to receive a $1,000 donation on behalf of Ayr Farmers Mutual. Scholarship recipient Sophia chose to direct the $1,000 donation to Jessica's House Hospice in Exeter.

Policyholder Spotlight: Nick Kozey

Nester (Nick) Kozey has been a home insurance Policyholder with Ayr Farmers Mutual Insurance Company for 35 years. However, this is not the only milestone he is celebrating this year. Nick celebrated his 95th Birthday on January 31, 2022.

Scholarship Recipient: Rachel Lund

Rachel Lund was one of three recipients of a $3,000 scholarship in 2021. Rachel created Over the Billow to help those without someone to talk to feel they are not alone. What's a billow? It is "a large undulating mass of something." The group Over The Billow helps people to overcome the billow of anxiety in their lives.
